Community Gatherings, Special Events & Fundraisers
The National Spiritual Alliance serves as both a spiritual home and a gathering place for the broader Lake Pleasant, Montague, and surrounding community.
In addition to our Spiritualist services and educational programs, we host recurring groups, creative and cultural gatherings, seasonal celebrations, special events, and fundraisers that bring people together in many different ways.
We believe that positive and supportive community is built through meaningful relationships, shared experiences, creativity, service, and connection with one another and with Spirit.
Featured Special Events
Throughout the year, TNSA hosts larger celebrations, fairs, festivals, concerts, and community gatherings. Explore our featured events below for schedules, participants, tickets or registration when applicable, accessibility information, and everything you need to plan your visit.
Ongoing Community Gatherings
Our space is home to a range of regular gatherings, which may include:
- Weekly AA meetings
- Voices in the Village community open mic
- Lake Pleasant Tea & Crumpets Society literary salon
- Musical performances and cultural events
- Seasonal gatherings and community programs
Some are explicitly spiritual in focus. Others center on recovery, creativity, music, literature, friendship, or simply having a place to gather.
Each reflects our commitment to hospitality, respect, inclusion, and creating opportunities for meaningful connection.
Special Events & Celebrations
Throughout the year, TNSA produces larger special events that bring together spiritual practice, history, creativity, music, learning, and community.
These include gatherings such as Camp Weekend, Spirit & Song, psychic and medium fairs, concerts, makers and craft fairs, seasonal celebrations, workshops, historical programs, and special collaborations with artists, practitioners, organizations, and members of our wider community.
Many of these events have their own dedicated pages with complete schedules and details. This page serves as a central place to discover what is happening across the wider life of TNSA and to find our current featured events.
Fundraisers That Build Community
Our special events are also an important part of sustaining The National Spiritual Alliance and historic Thompson Temple.
Fundraisers at TNSA are designed to do more than raise money. We want them to create experiences worth gathering for: opportunities to hear music, meet artists and practitioners, learn something new, explore Lake Pleasant, support local creativity, share food, and spend time in community.
Proceeds from our fundraising events help support TNSA's nonprofit mission, programming, community outreach, and the ongoing care and preservation of Thompson Temple.
A Space for Connection
There are many ways to find community here.
You may come looking for spiritual exploration, recovery, inspiration, friendship, creative expression, music, history, service, or simply a welcoming place to spend some time with other people.
You do not need to participate in every part of TNSA to belong in the life of this community. Come to the gatherings that speak to you, discover something new, and return when it feels right.
All are welcome.
